Pre Blog Quilts

Sampler Quilt 2003

My first ever quilt.  The blocks were all made by hand although the sashing, border and binding were added by machine.  It was custom quilted by Aileen at Border quilts in Eyemouth on the Scottish Borders.  It still remains one of my favourite quilts.

Baltimore in Blue 2007

It took me almost three years to make this quilt.  I finished the blocks in one but then boredom set in and truth be told I went off it.  It is a little basic for a Baltimore quilt but as my first foray into appliqué I am quite satisfied with the result.  It was custom quilted by Border Quilts

Antique Flower Garden 2010

This was a block of the month quilt.  I so enjoyed receiving the envelope through the post for the next months blocks.  As you can see it is a mix of piecing and needle turn appliqué and was  quilted by Border Quilts, this time with a pantograph.

Sampler Quilt 2011

This is a single size sampler quilt (laid on a double bed for the pic) using more challenging techniques than my first one.  I recently gave my single bed and the quilt to my sister so I could have   a sewing room.

Sugar and Spice 2012 - 16

Why did it take me four years to complete this quilt? because I needed to do FMQ and chickened it.  It was only making it one of my three in the 100 Day Challenge at Quilter in the Closet that I finally pluck up the courage to do it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and leave a comment, it helps me grow as a quilter and as a blogger. It also makes me very happy :)
I try to respond to all comments by email, but if I don't reply within a few days it may be because you are a no reply blogger.
With smiles
